Siri Derkert

The artist Siri Derkert is famous for her energetic, personal and expressionist style. Her early works, especially those from her Paris years, reveal influences from cubism and fauvism. She also did figure paintings in grey tones and pastels, interiors and children’s portraits. Her exhibition Movements in All Directions, which opened on 27 April, 1960, was the first solo exhibition of a woman artist at Moderna Museet in Stockholm.
